Keynote: How Lesson Study is coming of age in Europe: the story to far and some glimpses into the future.

In this talk Pete will describe the processes by which lesson study has developed outside Japan and specifically across Europe and factors that seem to help and hinder. He will draw upon literature, his time leading WALS and in particularly his recent experience supporting the International Journal of Learning and Lesson Stiudies editorial team to create the recent special issue this on very subject. He will consider what we have learned from these processes and what we can do help lesson study continue to develop and improve education within and across European countries in this promising age of AI, online working and autotranslation - but also of growing tensions across the world and Europe.
